Census Bureau: 75.3 percent of people in Nebraska were old enough to vote in 2020

Of the 1,923,826 citizens living in Nebraska in 2020, 1,448,723 were old enough to vote as of April 13, according to U.S. Census Bureau data.

The bureau reported 733,049 of those people were female and 715,674 were male.

An agency of the U.S. Federal Statistical System, the Census Bureau is responsible for compiling statistical facts about the American people, places and economy. Data for this story was compiled from the bureau’s American Community Survey. Information from the survey helps to determine how federal and state funds are distributed.

Statistical data for 2021 will be released later this year.
