U.S. Senator Deb Fischer (R-NE) and U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Brooke Rollins visited the University of Nebraska-Lincoln’s Eastern Nebraska Research, Extension and Education Center (ENREEC) facility for a roundtable discussion with members of Nebraska’s congressional delegation and agricultural stakeholders. Representatives Adrian Smith (NE-03), Don Bacon (NE-02), and Mike Flood (NE-01) also participated in the event.
During the visit, the group toured the Klosterman Feedlot Innovation Center before holding a press conference to address questions from attendees.
The roundtable discussion centered on increasing market access for farmers and ranchers in Nebraska. Participants discussed actions taken by Congress and the Trump administration to address challenges facing agricultural producers both within the state and nationwide.
Senator Fischer said, "The group also toured the Klosterman Feedlot Innovation Center and held a press conference to answer questions."
The event provided an opportunity for federal officials to hear directly from local ag stakeholders about issues impacting their operations.
