Retirement of Assistant Chief Dave Stukenholtz

The Bellevue Police Department held a reception this evening to wish Assistant Chief Dave Stukenholtz best wishes as he retires from a long career in law enforcement in Bellevue. Dave was joined by his wife Kelli as they received well wishes and thanks from dozens of current and former police officers, support team members and City Officials.

Assistant Chief Stukenholtz has served the citizen of Bellevue for 30 years after coming to Bellevue in 1992 after 11 years at the Buffalo County Sheriff's Department. He has held almost every position possible in the PD including; Police Officer, Sergeant, Lieutenant, Captain, Acting Police Chief and Assistant Police Chief. 

Sgt. John McDaniel spoke on behalf of the Department and mentioned Dave's "even keel" approach to policing and the number of officer's who have learned from Assistant Chief Stukenholtz over the years.

Mayor Hike and the City of Bellevue would like to thank you for your service Dave. You have made a difference in our community and we wish you a long, healthy and prosperous retirement.
