NFIB Nebraska PAC has announced its endorsements for state legislative candidates, focusing on those who have demonstrated support for small businesses in Lincoln. NFIB State Director Ryan McIntosh emphasized the importance of this election for continuing efforts to address property tax issues and other challenges such as inflation, workforce shortages, and government mandates.
“Small businesses are navigating a tough economic and regulatory landscape. The Nebraska Legislature has already done a commendable job working to reduce property taxes during the special session. However, there is still more work to be done,” said McIntosh. He further stated that the endorsed lawmakers have shown their dedication to tackling these obstacles.
Endorsements for incumbents are based on the NFIB Nebraska Voting Record, requiring at least a 70% score on key issues affecting small businesses. For candidates in open seats, endorsements are determined by responses to questionnaires. The NFIB NE PAC Board, made up of small-business owners from across Nebraska, reviews and approves these endorsements.
The endorsed incumbents include Senator Robert Dover (District 19), Senator Beau Ballard (District 21), Senator Carolyn Bosn (District 25), Senator Kathleen Kauth (District 31), Senator Ray Aguilar (District 35), and Senator Rita Sanders (District 45).
Non-incumbent endorsements feature Bob Hallstrom (District 1), Gilbert Ayala (District 5), Roxie Kracl (District 15), Jared Storm (District 23), Dawn Liphardt (District 27), Stanley Clouse (District 37), Tony Sorrentino (District 39), Ethan Clark (District 41), and Tanya Storer (District 43).
