Lincoln man receives 25-year sentence for methamphetamine conspiracy

United States Attorney Lesley A. Woods has announced the sentencing of William Arthur Parrott, a 54-year-old resident of Lincoln, Nebraska. Parrott received a sentence of 300 months in federal prison on June 12, 2025, following his conviction for conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute over 500 grams of methamphetamine mixture. The sentencing was handed down by United States District Judge Susan M. Bazis in a federal court in Lincoln, Nebraska. After serving his prison term, Parrott will be subject to five years of supervised release.

Parrott's conviction came after a three-day jury trial that concluded on January 30, 2025. During the trial, evidence was presented which included testimony from three individuals who had been involved in drug distribution activities with Parrott between March 2020 and November 2022. Additional evidence comprised text messages exchanged between Parrott and one witness about drug transactions; drugs discovered during a search of the witness's hotel room; details from searches of residences linked to other co-conspirators; tracking data from a co-conspirator’s vehicle; and surveillance conducted by narcotics investigators.

Parrott was held accountable for distributing approximately 11 kilograms of methamphetamine. His sentence was enhanced due to possession of a firearm connected to the drug offense and utilizing his residence in Lincoln for drug distribution purposes.

The investigation into this case was conducted by the Lincoln/Lancaster County Drug Task Force.
