U.S. Senators Deb Fischer (R-Neb.), Chair of the Senate Telecommunications and Media Subcommittee, and Ben Ray Luján (D-N.M.), Ranking Member, issued a joint statement following the United States Supreme Court's decision regarding the Universal Service Fund (USF).

“We’re encouraged by the Supreme Court’s ruling on the Universal Service Fund, and we look forward to working together to focus on long-term solutions for the USF, evaluate broadband programs, and help connect unserved and underserved communities across America,” Fischer and Luján said.

Earlier in June, Senators Fischer and Luján announced that they had reconstituted the USF Working Group to address ongoing issues related to broadband access and funding.
