The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) has launched a series of advertisements to express gratitude to Rep. Don Bacon for his support of small businesses. These ads, both radio and digital, will be aired across Nebraska’s 2nd District as part of NFIB's ongoing campaign to secure the permanence of the Small Business Tax Deduction.

This initiative by NFIB highlights its multi-year effort across various states aimed at making the 20% Small Business Tax Deduction a permanent fixture. The advertisements will feature testimonials from NFIB members who describe how this deduction has enabled them to expand and invest in their businesses, while also warning about potential repercussions if Congress does not act.

Ryan McIntosh, NFIB Nebraska State Director, stated: “Over the last seven years, the 20% Small Business Tax Deduction has helped America’s small businesses grow and hire.” He further praised Rep. Bacon, saying he "understands the importance of the Small Business Tax Deduction and has been a leading voice in Congress to make it permanent." McIntosh expressed hope that lawmakers would move swiftly on tax legislation to protect small businesses from significant tax increases.

The deduction was originally introduced as part of the 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act. It allows small business owners to deduct up to 20% of their qualified business income, thereby providing a more level playing field between smaller enterprises and larger corporations.
