U.S. Senator Deb Fischer (R-Neb.) issued a statement following the U.S. Senate’s confirmation of Lesley Woods Murphy as the U.S. Attorney for the District of Nebraska.
“Congratulations to Lesley Woods Murphy on her confirmation by the Senate to serve as the U.S. Attorney for the District of Nebraska. I am confident that Lesley will excel in this role, which is why I strongly recommended that President Trump nominate her for this position. I look forward to seeing Lesley work efficiently and effectively – as she has done throughout her career – to keep our families and communities safe,” Fischer said.
Senator Fischer had previously recommended Murphy for the nomination, which led President Donald Trump to nominate her in May 2025.
