The U.S. Department of Education will release funds that include support for 21st Century Community Learning Centers, according to an announcement from Senator Deb Fischer (R-Neb.). The decision follows a letter sent earlier this week by Fischer and other Republican senators to Russell Vought, Director of the White House Office of Management and Budget (OMB), urging the release of anticipated education formula funding. The full letter can be read at https://www.fischer.senate.gov/public/index.cfm/2025/7/following-fischer-s-effort-education-department-releases-critical-funds.

“I’m pleased OMB Director Vought followed through on our request to release these funds, which provide critical learning opportunities and support for Nebraska’s students and families,” Fischer said.
