Columbus Art Initiative

The City of Columbus is working on bringing more public art to the community.

Public art adds enormous value to the cultural, aesthetic and economic vitality of a community.  It aids in fostering community identity, community pride and a sense of belonging along with enhancing the quality of life for residents and visitors.

Projects currently being considered are adding murals, painted crosswalks and streets bump outs, sculptures and artistic banners and signage.  These projects will be funded by grants and donations. If you would like to be a part of the Columbus Art Initiative please contact Jean Van Iperen at jean.vaniperen@columbusne.us.

Donors contributing $1,000 or more will be noted on the various art pieces.
