Weather permitting, work is scheduled to begin October 26 on the west side of US-81, approximately one to two (1-2) miles south of Platte Center, according to the Nebraska Department of Transportation.
Van Kirk Sand & Gravel, of Sutton, Nebraska is the contractor for this project. Work will include levee repair and erosion control measures on a levee west of US-81. Anticipated completion is November 2022. Motorists are reminded to drive cautiously in and near work zones, to buckle up, and to put phones down.
