NFIB Nebraska has expressed its support for Governor Jim Pillen's recent State of the State Address, which addressed key issues affecting Nebraskans, including property taxes and government spending. Ryan McIntosh, NFIB Nebraska State Director, released a statement highlighting the importance of reducing the tax burden to enhance Nebraska's competitiveness.

"Governor Jim Pillen’s State of the State Address touched on many of Nebraska’s key issues, especially property taxes and government spending," McIntosh stated. He emphasized that while some progress was made in lowering property taxes last year, more efforts are needed. "We echo the Governor’s call to lower the tax burden and make Nebraska more competitive. If we want the Cornhusker State to continue to draw in more people and opportunities, we must prioritize pro-small business policies."

The NFIB encourages its members to stay informed about legislation impacting small businesses through their NFIB Engage App. The app provides action alerts on relevant legislation, opportunities for contacting lawmakers, invitations to events and webinars, and updates on NFIB's advocacy work.
